Practice & Polish Sessions (Quarterly Skills Sessions)
Kinesiology is a hands-on skill. You can't learn it by reading a book or watching a video. You need real face to face time talking with real people and pushing on real muscles to develop the polish of precision manual muscle testing of a professional kinesiologist. Kinesiology is just like any other skill - the more you use it the better you become.
Practice & Polish Sessions (PPS) are a series of 1-2 day workshops designed to allow students and practitioners to develop and maintain their skills in a relaxed and open environment. The main focus is to allow students and alumni to practice and polish their skills on each other, and on some occasions, with outside people if desired.
These sessions are open to all
- ICOHA students and alumni
- People considering applying to ICOHA (pre-application tour)
- Touch For Health, K-Power®, PKP modular, ICPKP students and practitioners
- Additionally all other students and practitioners of any style of kinesiology are welcome to attend.
- Other Healing Arts practitioners and persons interested in learning more about kinesiology are encouraged to attend. Please contact college directly for more information.
- Public who wish to serve as volunteers may submit a "volunteer clinic" request by clicking here
Emphasis of these sessions is on achieving competency and confidence with existing skills and not the teaching of new material. Personalized revisions and upgrades to expand or deepen your existing skill set will be offered on request. Likewise some of these sessions may offer mini-seminars to further review and clarify theory and skills. Faculty &/or senior practitioners will be available for questions and support if you want them, but will not step in unless requested.
Format
All days will be available for open practice the entire time.
Optional focused pre-planned review sessions &/or mini-seminars, both theory and practical skills, may be offered. See individual PPS pages for details.
